Meet the Heart Behind Slow Breaths
-
Simonne
Simonne is the founder of Slow Breaths. She is passionate about helping children grow into confident, kind little humans who feel supported in the moments that matter most.
With a background in education and child mental health, she holds first-class honours in psychological science and has completed over six years of tertiary study across psychology, education and linguistics. This depth of knowledge shapes her evidence-informed, practical approach to every resource.
She is also a proud mum to Lucas and Louise, whose everyday moments inspire her work.

Lucas (8)
Lucas is Simonne’s curious, big-hearted idea-tester and the original “why?” asker.
With a thoughtful mind and a natural desire to help others, he brings real child insight to every Slow Breaths resource. Lucas is often the one asking the important questions, noticing what feels tricky and helping shape ideas so they truly make sense from a child’s perspective.
He plays a special role in making sure the strategies feel practical, comforting and easy to use in everyday life, not just something that sounds good on paper.

Louise (7)
Louise is the joyful, creative spark behind Slow Breaths, always ready with a drawing, a story idea or an important reminder to “make it fun.”
With her warm nature and big imagination, she brings a sense of playfulness and creativity to everything she touches. Louise helps to ensure each resource feels inviting, engaging and safe for children to connect with.
She has a special way of reminding her mum that big feelings can feel a little easier when you understand them.
